Every member of our CDL driver training staff is thoroughly trained. Our truck schools and training yards offer ample space to practice the skills needed to become comfortable behind the wheel. In addition to helping you get the training you need, we offer 160 hours of Class A CDL truck driver training at our Portland area truck driving schools.
How We Started
Our CDL training school began in 2003 when our founder and owner, Greg Reisnaur, saw the need for professionally trained truck drivers. To meet this demand, he built a business to offer truck-driving courses that delivered a high standard of training while remaining affordable and convenient for students.
What started as a small operation in Hillsboro, Oregon, has grown into a network of campuses in Albany, Eugene, Hillsboro, and Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington. Today, we offer 160 hours of Class A CDL training, and our school is WIOA- and VA-approved.

- 1993 America’s Road Team Captain
The America’s Road Team is a program developed and supported by the American Trucking Associations. Each year, the program selects about 10 professional truck drivers from thousands of applicants nationwide to promote the trucking industry. Road Team Captains are chosen for their professional image, deep knowledge of the industry, passion for safety, superior safety record, and ability to educate all sectors of the public. Their work includes newspaper, radio, and television interviews, as well as speaking at community and company events.
The Oregon Road Team program is identical to America’s Road Team, except it operates at the state level rather than the national level.
Leading Elite Today
As Elite Truck School grew, Greg’s sons, Tyler and JJ, joined the business to carry his vision forward.
Tyler Reisnaur, CEO & Co-Owner, draws on a background in adult education to keep our training practical and current. He has led the adoption of modern tools and approaches that streamline school operations and improve the student experience.
JJ Reisnaur, Operations, oversees day-to-day operations across our campuses. He manages our instructors and staff to make sure every student receives the same high standard of training Greg built the school on.
